YOGA AND CULTURAL DANCE WITH SHERI
By combining movement, music, and memory, this program promotes creative expression, social skills, rhythm, and body awareness. Sheri is here Wednesday afternoons. Children not scheduled to attend the Nursery on Wednesday afternoons are welcome to attend the program when accompanied by an adult.
MUSIC WITH LOU GALLO
Singer, songwriter, and story teller Lou Gallo leads a weekly Music & Rhythm Class. Lou has a long history of performing for children. He started out teaching song writing at the Children’s Museum of the Arts in SoHo, then forming The Imagination Workshop Band, he began a 17 year adventure into the world of children’s music. Children not scheduled to attend the Nursery on Monday afternoons are welcome to attend the program when accompanied by an adult.
ART FARM IN THE CITY WITH MISS GABBY
The Art Farm is much more than a petting zoo. The program supports science and literacy curriculum, stimulates discussion leading to a better understanding and appreciation of the natural world, teaches kindness and respect for all creatures and the environment, and provides a hands-on “living science” learning experience. Gabby will be here various mornings throughout the spring semester. Exact dates will be posted on the monthly calendar.
FRIDAY SING-A-LONG
Every Friday afternoon, the toddler classes come together in one room and the preschool/pre-kindergarten classes come together in another room to greet each other and share music. The rooms take turns hosting and lead the children in new songs, favorite medleys, fun dances, and rhythm instrument exploration.
