Helping you understand what to expect in a pre-kindergarten is crucial. More than 85% of the brain is developed before the age of 5. The pre-kindergarten years are the time in which the brain begins to maximize efficiency. The most important goal of pre-k is to help your child develop the knowledge, skills, and approaches to learning needed to be ready for Kindergarten.

The BPC Day Nursery is an approved NYC-DOE Pre-K For All program. The free pre-k program is Monday-Friday from 8:30 am – 2:50 pm. Hot lunch is provided by Juniors Fresh.  We offer private before and after care should you need extended hours.  A sample daily schedule and private tuition rates are in PDF form below.

To apply  for a Pre-K For All spot,  you must go through the DOE website only. NYC Department of Education (DOE) gives our currently enrolled children priority into our pre-k program.  BPC Day Nursery cannot enroll children without DOE approval.  BPCDN is a NYCEEC (New York City Early Education Center) with the identification MAPL. We have 2 classrooms with a total of 35 UPK spaces.
