I have Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Hunter College. Ever since I was young, I knew that I wanted to have a career working with children. It has always been a real passion of mine. I love knowing that what I am doing has some sort of impact on children’s lives as I guide them through their early years. Assistant Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, hired in September, 2010. I graduated from Borough of Manhattan Community College with an AA Degree in Early Childhood Education. I started at the BPCDN as a part-time assistant in a toddler room and have been a full time toddler teacher for 4 years. I wanted to try working with a different age group, and this year I was given the opportunity to work in the Pre-K For All program. I am so excited to get to know all of the children and watch them learn and grow. I am pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree at Touro College. I live in the Bronx and love to spend my free time with my family and friends, listening to music and having fun. I speak English and Spanish fluently. I am looking forward to an exciting year full of wonderful and enriching experiences.
Assistant Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, hired September 2019. I graduated from Borough Of Manhattan Community College with an AA Degree in Early Childhood Education. I was originally scheduled to teach in the younger classroom but was given the opportunity to work in UPK and I jumped right on it. I already had years of experiences working with birth to three year olds and wanted to dive into UPK after interning in a classroom, while enrolled in a course called Teacher Cadet (a course that gave future teachers opportunity to intern in education) in South Carolina, and just from those small sessions I came to love and enjoyed the tech and broaden material that could be taught with that age group. Every since second grade I already knew I wanted to become a teacher. I’ve always enjoyed helping and teaching and putting a new spin on materials I was taught, so I knew becoming a teacher was just the right fit for my love and passion for teaching.
I’ve been living in the Bronx for 11 years with my mother and baby Lilly (dog). I enjoy playing video games, reading, writing, binge watching shows, and doing loads of arts and crafts. I’m so happy I’m able to continue my educational journey at B.P.C.D.N. and able to teach your child and bring a little southern education to the big Apple.

I love being around different age groups, I’ve learned so much from them. This year I am the Remote Learning Pre-K For All Teacher, which is an awesome opportunity.
